    Dear community,
I use bard-pro and generally I’m very happy with it. But after setting it up all of a sudden new blog posts are cropped differently.

Just have a look on http://www.21hemoon.com and scroll down to the list of blog posts. You’ll clearly see that the recent one is “big” in 16:9 and is then followed by 4:3 posts “Die schönsten Strände…” and “Subterrenean…”.
All pictures are made with canvas in the same ratio 1200x675px. But somehow the theme crops them differently. It also affects older posts when the blog post picture is being updated as you can see on  page 2 with the post about ” Kap der guten Hoffnung”.

Yes, I may have installed a plugin or two after the final setup.
Yes the pictures are displayed correctly in the actual post (16:9)
No, I have not changed anything on the theme itself.

Can anyone help me to investigate this behaviour?

    I like to add:
I’ve deactivated all plugins one by one and nothing changes. I assume it has nothing to do with plugins. It’s something within the theme. There was an update in the meantime. Is it possible this has changed something with the cropping?

    Hello Vako,

I know the drill, but before we go down that road pls acknowledge this ticket https://wp-royal-themes.com/forums/reply/74461/

where we also didn’t find a solution to the problem. The solution proposed by you guys didn’t fix the problem. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with the default setting within the theme or some of the function.php or other files. Have you changed something in the update?
Since the photos are displayed incorrectly only in the blog section list, nowhere else I assume it is a default setting problem. Please advise.

    Hi again,

Please check it now, we’ve detected that old images where cropped with 300:169 and new images where cropped with 300:300, I’ve set blog posts list crop height to 169:
    https://prnt.sc/bLnLjph0Qk7H

After that I’ve rebuilt featured images of blog list with AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild and issue was solved.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hello George,

thank you for fixing it. But trust me, I haven’t changed this setting. Where do I find it?

    Hi again,

You are welcome, just go to customizer blog page settings section, you’ll easily find it in the list.
I think you’ve rebuilt thumbnails with another plugin which worked a little bit differently for some reason.

    Kind regards,
    George
